Keryx (KRX)

Keryx is an open-source Layer-1 BlockDAG network designed for decentralized artificial intelligence inference. Its native currency, KRX, is used for mining rewards, network fees and AI inference requests.

The network uses GHOSTDAG with a target rate of 10 blocks per second. Its Proof-of-Model mining mechanism requires participating GPUs to hold approved AI model weights in memory, linking block production to the infrastructure used for inference.

Users can submit AI requests through on-chain transactions. Miners execute supported open-weight models, store the resulting output through IPFS and commit the result to the Keryx network.

Keryx also uses Optimistic Proof of Inference, or OPoI, as its proposed challenge and verification layer. However, the current whitepaper states that economic slashing is temporarily disabled while a deterministic replacement is prepared.

The project provides open-source node and mining software, a live block explorer, BlockDAG visualiser, browser wallet, inference interface and public network statistics.
