PROJECT OVERVIEW

About Krypton

Krypton (KYP) is an open-source, decentralized Proof-of-Work cryptocurrency built on the Litecoin codebase. Launched on July 24, 2025, with a strict fair-launch model — no premine, no ICO, no VC allocation. All coins enter circulation exclusively through public mining. The network targets everyday peer-to-peer transactions and long-term value storage, with over 31,000 unique holder addresses and 6,000,000 KYP mined to date out of a maximum supply of 15,000,000 KYP.

The core team is pseudonymous. The project has not received a formal third-party security audit, though the source code is fully open-source and publicly available on GitHub for independent review. No admin keys, no vesting schedules, no centralized control mechanisms. No premine. All coins distributed exclusively through public Proof-of-Work mining.
